I-75 and I-85 Northbound
Exit # 246 (Central Avenue/Fulton Street). Follow the signs to Fulton Street. At the light at the end of the ramp, turn right on Fulton Street. At the second light, turn left on Capitol Avenue. After crossing MLK Jr. Drive, Capitol Avenue becomes Piedmont Avenue. The Student Recreation Center main entrance will be on your right at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street.

I-75/I-85 Northbound (High Occupancy Vehicle -- H.O.V.)
Exit at Memorial Drive. At first light, go straight, and you will be on Central Avenue. Central Avenue becomes Peachtree Center Avenue. Make a right on Gilmer Street, the Student Recreation Center will be on your right at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street.

I-75/I-85 Southbound
Exit # 249A (Courtland Street), go straight. Turn left on Gilmer Street, the Student Recreation Center will be on your right at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street.

I-20 Eastbound
Exit # 56B (Windsor/Spring Street), go straight to the third traffic light. Take a left on Central Avenue. Central Avenue becomes Peachtree Center Avenue. Make a right on Gilmer Street, the Student Recreation Center will be on your right at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street.

I-20 Westbound
Exit # 58A (Capitol Avenue) and turn right at the light. Stay on Capitol Avenue which changes into Piedmont Avenue. Go straight and the Student Recreation Center will be on your right at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street.

MARTA
Take East/West Rapid Rail Line to the Georgia State Station. Exit station onto Piedmont Avenue, turn right and cross Decatur Street. The Student Recreation Center will be on your right at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street.

Indian Creek Recreation Area

Take I-285 to Memorial Drive exit. Turn east on Memorial Drive and proceed about eight tenths of a mile. Turn right on Rockbridge Road. Turn right at the first traffic light on South Indian Creek Drive. The Indian Creek Lodge and Recreation Area is approximately one mile on the left, on property hidden by trees and marked by a Georgia State University sign. The Indian Creek MARTA Station is one third of a mile west of the lodge. Parking is limited to paved areas.


Walking directions from Indian Creek MARTA Station:

  1. Exit Indian Creek Marta Station onto Durham Road.
  2. Take a right onto Durham Road.
  3. Take a left at the light onto South Indian Creek Drive.
  4. In roughly 100 yards, the entrance to Indian Creek Recreation Area will be on your right.

Directions from Georgia State University:

  • I-20 East
  • Candler Road exit (#65) and go south (right)
  • Pass South DeKalb Mall and McDonald's
  • Turn right onto Panthersville Road
    (There will be a Shell station with a Waffle King on the corner.)
  • Turn right at the next intersection onto Clifton Springs Road
    (The GBI and Perimeter College South Campus will be at that intersection.)
  • Turn left onto Wildcat Road (directly behind the football stadium)
  • Follow Wildcat Road and the fields will be on the left
