Free Fitness Classes
About the Program
Bored with the treadmill? Those who enjoy a group workout atmosphere should check out the free classes offered every semester! Members and fee paying guests may attend any of these classes as long as space permits. Those entering late are responsible for warming up and being prepared for class.

Below is the schedule of classes and descriptions of each type. All fitness classes are free of charge for current students and Recreation members!
Tired of the same old crunches? This class will have participants doing a variety of exercises to tone, build and strengthen their core muscles.
Bootcamp will get participants' muscles working by incorporating aerobic and anaerobic activity using all different kinds of equipment! Modifications are offered to accommodate all fitness levels.
A perfect combination of cardiovascular work and sculpting moves that will keep you coming back for more. This class uses different cardio formats each week to keep your heart pumping!
Cardio Hip Hop
A dance based cardio class designed to get you moving to a variety of hip hop songs. In this class, participants will sweat out their stress with fun hip hop moves. No dance experience necessary!
Want to get a fully body workout in that combines both cardio and toning? Come enjoy the benefits of heart pumping cardio plus a muscle sculpting workout all in one place!
A non-impact, calorie blasting class that combines a foundation of cycling movements with motivational coaching and musical guidance. Participants set the intensity in this awesome class.
Cycle and Tone
An indoor cycling class that combines the best of both worlds, cardio and strength. Participants will spend part of the class riding and part of the class toning their bodies with body weight resistance and light equipment!
This class uses a sequence of postures coupled with breathing exercises with an emphasis on flexibility.
High Intensity Interval Training! This class combines weight training, cardio and plyometrics to get participants' heart rates up and energy level high.
This class is a combination of cardio, boxing and marital arts providing a total body workout which aims to improve strength, aerobic fitness, speed, flexibility, coordination and balance.
Participants can grab their weights and get ready for a total body muscular strength and endurance class that will tone every muscle from head to toe. This non-aerobic class uses weights, steps, resistance bands and more!
A challenging class that uses mind-body exercises to stretch and strengthen the muscles. Pilates focuses on the abs and works the rest of the body through the core connection.
Participants use steps and risers to develop toned legs and improve their cardiovascular endurance. Take one of the most popular classes that continues to deliver outstanding workouts each and every time!
This Tabata style class is a total-body program that incorporates strength training, cardio, core work and flexibility. It challenges participants' entire body with high intensity, short duration exercises with 20 second intervals of extreme exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest.
Develop flexibility and build awareness using long, held postures and meditation.
This intro class will provide all the benefits of yoga while combining strength training elements to help you grow your practice.
