Be Weird in Austin: Camp, Climb, Hike, Explore
Friday – Sunday, March 11 – 20
Spend this spring break in Texas’s capital and its surrounding outdoor landscape. Spend five days rock climbing, day hiking and sightseeing. There will also be stops at various sites along the way including Jackson, Mississippi and Louisiana. Highlights of the trip include star gazing in Mississippi, hiking in Longhorn Cavern and climbing at Enchanted Rock. Participants will camp near Pedernales Falls where you can take a brave dip in the river or try your hand at geocaching. Get details about the trip at the informational meeting.

Mandatory Pre-trip meeting: February 22, 7 p.m., Touch the Earth (TTE) Rental Center
Payment: non-refundable payment in full due February 19

Backpacking, Kayaking & Historic Savannah
Wednesday – Sunday, March 16 – 20
Explore the Georgia coast starting on the Florida line and working north. Cumberland Island National Seashore boasts historic ruins, deserted beaches, wild horses and pristine maritime forests. Backpack across the flat island to your campsite, exploring the land and surf. Participants will sea kayak small sections of The Georgia Coast Saltwater Paddle Trail camping along the marshes and beaches. Visit historic Savannah by day and night. Explore Fort Pulaski and relax on Tybee beach.
Mandatory Pre-trip meeting: March 2, 6 p.m., TTE Rental Center
Includes camping equipment, backpack, kayaks, transportation, fees and leadership.
Rating: easy to moderate, 16+ miles backpacking, 12 miles kayaking
