Free Fitness Classes

About the Program 
Bored with the treadmill? Those who enjoy a group workout atmosphere should check out the free classes offered every semester! Members and fee paying guests may attend any of these classes as long as space permits. Those entering late are responsible for warming up and being prepared for class.

Below is the schedule of classes and descriptions of each type. All fitness classes are free of charge for current students and Recreation members!

Fall semester
August 20 – December 3

Zumba® 12-12:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Dance along with your instructor and friends for a class that includes cardio, muscular conditioning, balance, and flexibility. Dance to great music and get in a great workout without even realizing it!
Step 1-1:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Participants use steps and risers to develop toned legs and improve their cardiovascular endurance. This class continues to deliver outstanding workouts each and every time!
Core Conditioning 5-5:20 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Strengthen your body’s center of power: the core! Learn how to safely and effectively train the primary muscle groups of your core for lasting results.
Circuit Training 5:30-6:20 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
 Are you ready to put in work and have fun? This class will focus on total body conditioning using both strength training and cardiovascular exercise. High energy and popular music are used to push your limits and reach your fitness goals!
Zumba® 6:30-7:20 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Dance along with your instructor and friends for a class that includes cardio, muscular conditioning, balance, and flexibility. Dance to great music and get in a great workout without even realizing it!
Cycle 7-7:50 p.m. Studio B
A non-impact, calorie blasting class that combines a foundation of cycling movements with motivational coaching and musical guidance. Participants set the intensity in this awesome class.

Afro Beat 12-12:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
The Fusion of African dance fundamentals with different dance genres such as hip hop, house, and jazz! It’s a fun energetic class that uses Soulful House, Afro House and Hip Hop music to get a killer workout and all out body moving experience. This class is all levels. So whether you've danced Ballet or Hip Hop for many years, or no years, it doesn't matter. This classes teaches you a new African groove. Attire: Comfortable shoes and clothing
Dance Fitness 3-3:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Fitness class that incorporates a variety of dance formats. It's a full body workout, divided into different tracks that provide peaks of intensity. The overall intensity of a class varies depending on the style you're doing. Attire: Comfortable shoes and clothing 
Boot Camp 4-4:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Boot Camp will get participants' muscles working by incorporating aerobic and anaerobic activity using all different kinds of equipment!
Cycle 5:30-6:20 p.m. Studio B
A non-impact, calorie blasting class that combines a foundation of cycling movements with motivational coaching and musical guidance. Participants set the intensity in this awesome class.
HIIT Boot Camp 5:30-6:20 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
This high impact class is not for the faint at heart! Combining plyometrics, weight training, and cardio drills, this interval training course will get your blood pumping!
Vixen Workout 6:30-7:20 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
A dance fitness format that focuses not only on giving an amazing workout, but giving participants a safe space to dance, feel empowered, and gain confidence through the fun and community of a Vixen Workout. Workout and work it!

Panther Sculpt 4-4:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Participants can grab their weights and get ready for a total body muscular conditioning class that will work every muscle from head to toe. This non-aerobic class uses weights, steps, resistance bands and more!
Cardio Kickboxing 5:30-6:20 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
This class use strikes, kicks, blocks and a variety of kickboxing skills for an intense total body workout! Through drills and choreography improve your cardio conditioning, speed, power, coordination, and balance.
Ab Blast 6:30-6:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Tired of the same old crunches? This class will have participants doing a variety of exercises to tone, build and strengthen their core muscles.
Afro Fitness 7-7:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Learn to move to the beat of the African drums! Participants will learn how to isolate body movements and become poly-rhythmic while dancing to African beats! All levels welcome.
Cycle 7-7:50 p.m. Studio B
A non-impact, calorie blasting class that combines a foundation of cycling movements with motivational coaching and musical guidance. Participants set the intensity in this awesome class.

Cycle 12-12:50 p.m. Studio B
A non-impact, calorie blasting class that combines a foundation of cycling movements with motivational coaching and musical guidance. Participants set the intensity in this awesome class.
Ab Blast 12-12:20 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Tired of the same old crunches? This class will have participants doing a variety of exercises to shape and strengthen their core muscles.
Step 4-4:50 p.m. Aerobic/Dance Studio
Participants use steps and risers to develop toned legs and improve their cardiovascular endurance. This class continues to deliver outstanding workouts each and every time!
Learn to Log Roll 4-4:50 p.m. Pool
This unique activity offers an agility and core challenge is great for all skill levels!
Cycle 5:30-6:20 p.m. Studio B
A non-impact, calorie blasting class that combines a foundation of cycling movements with motivational coaching and musical guidance. Participants set the intensity in this awesome class.
