PERSONAL TRAINING & PAWSITIVE NUTRITION
Returning soon! Please check back in Fall 2023 for updates.
About the Program
The Fitness Center has served the Georgia State community for over 30 years. The staff members are graduate students in Exercise Science or a closely related major. These professionals in training provide quality services at affordable prices while helping their clients achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Fitness assessments and personal training sessions can be purchased and scheduled online. Once purchased, you'll be contacted by the Fitness Center staff within three business days to schedule your first appointment through Microsoft Bookings. Trainer availability varies and can be viewed once contacted after your purchase.
We offer free nutrition services on Wednesdays in person and via telehealth at the Student Recreation Center. Appointments will be with a registered dietitian and a nutrition graduate student.

We offer free nutrition services on Thursdays in person and via telehealth at the Student Recreation Center. Appointments will be with a registered dietitian and a nutrition graduate student. The graduate students are earning their counseling practice hours by offering counseling on weight loss, athletic performance, balanced eating, and other general nutrition guidance. During your appointment, you will have the opportunity to talk about your eating patterns, ask questions about building healthy habits, and set individualized goals. If you are seeking nutrition counseling outside of these parameters, contact Nutrition Services or the Counseling Center.
Our services include:
- One-hour nutrition consultations
- Food diary assessment
- Menu ideas
- Individualized goal setting
Contact Molly Paulson, MS, RD, LD at [email protected] to set an appointment or fill out the Nutrition Intake form and the Telehealth Consent form and you will be contacted to schedule your appointment. Please note, appointments are only available on Thursdays when academic classes are in session.
