Trips & Clinics

About the Program
These programs are open to Georgia State students. Faculty, staff, and graduates of Georgia State may also register. Students are given first priority on all trips. Guests are welcomed on a space-available basis and must be 18 years of age or older. A moderate level of fitness will allow for a more enjoyable experience.

Registration
Register in the Touch the Earth’s outdoor equipment rental center. The entrance is lower level through the outside entrance behind the Student Recreation Center. For trips, you must register by the Tuesday before the trip. For clinics and special events, you must register the day before. Pay with cash, check, credit card or PantherCash. We will accept credit card payment via phone. Trips fill early. A liability waiver will be signed at the time of registration or on the day of the trip or clinic.

There are two ways to register:

  • Visit the TTE office in person (If signing up as a guest you must have your Georgia State Affiliate present to register, or they can register you on your behalf).
  • Email the Outdoor Coordinator to set up an appointment to register by phone. Upon registration, you must supply emergency contact information.

If signing up as a Guest, and if the Georgia State affiliate has not yet registered, you will not be able to register until they have registered.

Cost categories are as follows:

  • Current students
  • Recreation members
  • Non-members & Guests*

*To register for trips as a non-member, you must be faculty, staff or alumni of Georgia State University. To register as a guest, you must be brought on the trip by a Georgia State University affiliate (student, member, faculty, staff, alumni). The affiliate has to already be registered for the guest to then register.

Pre-Trip Meetings
All overnight trips have a mandatory pre-trip meeting. The meeting is on Tuesday prior to the departure date, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in room 250 of the SRC. Participants that fail to attend the meeting or make prior alternate arrangements will be subject to being replaced on the trip without a refund.

Refunds
Individuals will receive a full refund if they cancel more than 10 days before the trip date. Individuals may receive a full refund if the coordinator cancels a trip. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 10 dates prior to the trip date or for no shows.

No refunds will be given for deposits on break trips. Money paid toward the trip balance is not refundable after the date of the pre-trip meeting. Payment deadlines must be met or trip spot and all payments will be forfeited.
